Pre- and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
If you are preparing for surgery, we encourage you to schedule a pre-surgical physical therapy appointment. Our physical therapists focus on improving range of motion, balance, and strength while educating you about your procedure, what to expect, and how to prepare.
Research shows that patients who participate in pre-surgical therapy often experience better outcomes after surgery. Recovery doesn’t have to wait until after your procedure.
Post-surgical rehabilitation is essential to maximizing your physical potential. Working with a physical therapist after surgery can speed recovery, reduce complications, and help you get the most benefit from your surgical outcome.
Chronic Pain Management
Chronic pain is defined as pain lasting longer than 12 weeks. Even after an injury has healed, the brain may continue to send pain signals. Chronic pain can affect different parts of the body for many reasons.
Accurately diagnosing the root cause of chronic pain is key to effective treatment. After a comprehensive evaluation, our therapists will educate you about your condition and develop an individualized treatment plan that targets the underlying cause—not just the symptoms.
Fall Risk Prevention
Our therapists provide comprehensive fall risk assessments and treatment for individuals who have fallen or are at risk for falling.
Falls are not a normal part of aging and can become more serious over time. However, fall risk can often be reduced by addressing contributing factors such as balance, strength, mobility, and coordination. Helping you stay safe and independent is something we are proud to support.
Sports-Related Injuries
Physical therapy plays an important role in the recovery from sports-related injuries. Treatment plans are tailored to the specific injury and activity level, with a focus on reducing pain, restoring strength and mobility, and safely returning patients to the activities they enjoy.
Treatment with the McKenzie Method® (MDT)
Evaluation by a physical therapist trained in the McKenzie Method® or Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) helps determine the most effective treatment strategy for your pain.
This approach is commonly used to treat back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, and more. MDT is often more effective and less expensive, helps avoid unnecessary diagnostic testing, and teaches lifelong techniques to manage symptoms and prevent future episodes.
Geriatric Strength and Balance Training
We offer geriatric strength and balance training to support both recovery and long-term wellness. Whether your goal is to return to your daily routine or develop new skills, we meet you where you are and guide you safely toward achieving your personal goals.
In addition, our Physical Therapist Assistant is certified in the treatment of Parkinsonisms and specializes in helping patients restore and maintain independence with everyday activities—from buttoning a shirt to climbing stairs and everything in between.
