Vestibular Rehabilitation

You're not alone! 69 million Americans suffer from dizziness or imbalances and the therapists at Carlisle Place Physical Therapy & Wellness Center are specially trained to help.

The vestibular system includes the parts of the inner ear and brain that help control balance and eye movements.  If the system is damaged by disease, concussion, aging or injury, vestibular disorders can result and are often associated with one or more of these symptoms:

  • vertigo

  • dizziness

  • imbalance

  • spatial disorientation

  • vision disturbance

Not all symptoms will be experienced by every person and other symptoms are possible.  It is also important to note that these can also be caused by other conditions.  This is why it is important to talk with your doctor if you are experiencing any of these symptoms.  If it is determined that you have a vestibular disorder or have sustained a concussion, vestibular rehabilitation can help.  Ask your doctor for a referral for vestibular rehabilitation at the Carlisle Place Physical Therapy & Wellness Center.

Physical Therapist, Celina Moon, PT, DPT and Occupational Therapist, Robyn Baker, OTR, CLT offer 12 years of combined experience in this field and have attended multiple continuing educational courses on the topics of Concussion and the Vestibular System to be able to offer you the best care possible.

You don't have to live with these symptoms, we are here and dedicated to keeping your body in motion!
